Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assistance and motivation to bettering South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) companies during an engagement with all the company's senior administrators in a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
In the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% from the registered pupils in the instruction sector.
These learners realized a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates that the expenditure government is earning while in the lives of weak and vulnerable children is yielding a beneficial effect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe reported.
